December 2025
It has been a mammoth three weeks of December packed with seasonal activities, concerts and Christmas lunches. Fiona and Jo led two external events this year, supported by members of our local community centre- Brunch with Santa and a Christmas Extravaganza! The Wellingtons and Wellies at Whinmoor team hope you all have a festive Christmas break and wish you a very Happy New Year!

November 2025
At the start of November our topical provision was changed to a Post Office, where children could wrap parcels and write letters, we even made our own Post Box! The children learned how to stay safe whilst exploring the theme of Bonfire Night and Road Safety Week. We explored our local environment with visits to the local library, fields and woods. October was a month crammed with sensory experiences. Children embraced Autumn during a range of indoor and outdoor engaging activities which supported them to explore colours, textures, and smells. Marvellous Me was the topic for the start of the new academic year. As we settled new children into nursery we talked about our likes and dislikes, explored our senses and learned how to share, take turns and be kind. There was a focus on the physical me; children bathed their babies and brushed their teeth.
