What time do nursery sessions start and finish?

 

There are a variety of childcare options available, from full day care to half days.

Bespoke day care sessions are available between 8:00am -6:00pm.  Half day sessions are from 9:00-12:00 and 1:00-4:00

When will my child start nursery?

 

We currently accept children from the age of 2.  If your child starts at the beginning of a term they may start in small groups to make the process easier for the children. 

 

Closures

 

 

 

Wellingtons operates up to 50 weeks of the year. We are closed for one week during the October half term and one week over the Christmas period. There will be 5 staff training days.

 

Meals

 

 

 

Lunch is served between 12:00 and 1:00pm. This is freshly cooked on site and adheres to the School Food Standards. The lunchtime     session can be added to a morning or afternoon session and includes the hourly rate of £5.00 plus an additional £2.05 for lunch.

15 Hours free childcare for 3 and 4 year olds

All  children are entitled to 15 hours of free childcare per week for 38 weeks of the year (term time only) from 1st January, 1st  April or 1st September following your child’s 3rd birthday. This may be split across more than one provider.

This 15 hours equates to a total of 570 hours per year, that you can use flexibly with one or more childcare provider.

15 Hours free childcare for 2 year olds

If you’re eligible you may be able to receive 15 hours free childcare for your 2 year old.

 

30 Hours Free Early Education Entitlement

The government offers 30 hours FEEE for children of working families over 38 weeks of the year. This is a total of 1,140.00 hours per year which can be used flexibly with one or more childcare provider.

When can my child start their 30 hours place?

Your child can start their 30 hours provision the term after they turn 3 years old and once you have received a valid 30 hours code, whichever is later. Term start dates are 1st September, 1st January and 1st April.

What isn't covered? 

The 30 hours free childcare offer is not intended to cover the costs of meals, other consumables such as nappies, wipes or sun cream, additional hours or additional activities such as trips. Wellingtons charges £2.05 to cover the cost of lunch if your child takes up the 30 hours when lunch is provided.
