Spring 2 2026

This term the children explored the theme of growth. They particularly enjoyed using magnifying glasses to examine mini beasts, both inside and out. Some children had the opportunity to visit the local garden centre, where they purchased flowers, herbs and fruit to plant back at nursery. The children were able to identify how to help plants grow by watering them, that also watched in awe as out caterpillars grew in size, eventually forming into chrysalis before emerging as butterflies. In addition to this the children celebrated World Book Day, making their own bookmarks, talking about the characters from their favourite books and participating in a Three Billy Goats Gruff interactive family play session.
